As the Facility Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the facility is maintained in a satisfactory condition for all required production and manufacturing operations. The maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep of the facility and should have a variety of skills, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC certifications. This position may require schedule adjustments, including early morning, late evening, or weekend shifts to meet the operational needs of the business.Core Job DutiesTimely and accurate completion of work listsCheck HVAC components, doors, interior / exterior lighting, roof and general premises on a routine scheduleMaintain building systems including interior/exterior lighting, HVAC, thermostats, life safety and building security including fencingRepair mechanical equipment as directedElectrical troubleshooting and repairs including bulbs/ballast replacement, plumbing, painting and carpentry as requiredPatrol building exterior for garbageSnow removal and salting / Mowing or other groundwork as requiredAssist in roof maintenance repair work as neededTouch up painting and drywall patching as neededMiscellaneous troubleshooting and problem solvingUse protective hearing, eyewear and safety shoes when necessaryOther duties as necessaryComplete required training in timely mannerRequired Experience, Education and Skills1-3 years of industrial building maintenance preferredBasic computer knowledgeAbility to read machine prints and perform machine repairAn ability to work well under pressureAbility to work in hot / humid and cold environmentsExperience in a production environment using mechanical, electrical and plumbing trouble-shooting skillsHands on experience in installation of piping systems (air, water, steam), industrial electrical installations, control circuits and PLC's preferredRelevant technical knowledgeHVAC Certified (preferred)Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position.
