Program Purchasing Buyer The Program Purchasing Buyer is part of our Operational Purchasing team and will be responsible for flawless program launches, ensuring purchasing deliverables are met according to program timing and budget, negotiating product changes, supporting VAVE activities, BOM and sourcing tracking, preparing RFQs, negotiating and sourcing parts and tooling, supporting technical feasibility reviews, and representing purchasing in multifunctional program reviews. Key Responsibilities Work with multiple functions within Adient (Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) and influence without direct authority. Maintain unquestionable integrity and proactive, hands‑on work style. Understand purchasing policies and procedures, laws, and legal and ethical obligations. Negotiate using tactics, techniques, and strategies. Evaluate cost breakdowns to identify opportunities to reduce overall cost. Cooperate with people at different levels inside and outside the company and interact with the team to reach goals. Recognize and respond to customer expectations with a sense of urgency. Gather information, analyze data, prepare and lead negotiations and deliver recommendations. Summarize complex issues and communicate to all levels of management. Work successfully in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities. Some travel may be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. 1‑3 years of Automotive Purchasing or Supply Chain experience.
