Great opportunity for a Design Engineer to work for an American manufacturing leader located in Greenwood, MS. Our client is a premium product manufacturer looking for a Design Engineer to focus on product development by using engineering principles to increase the efficiency and value of the business, while utilizing cost effective mechanisms and improving overall product performance, reliability, and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to utilize engineering principles to develop an optimized product design. Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, including program plans that identify work scope, schedules, milestones, tasks, priorities, and risks. Manage program/project issues and risks by effectively working with departments to develop parallel paths, contingencies, and risk mitigation plans to meet project deliverables per budget and schedule. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall project scope and schedules. Use methodologies like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify underlying causes of inefficiencies or defects. Regularly monitor the impact of implemented changes and identify opportunities for further enhancement. Document and report on the outcomes of continuous improvement projects, including cost savings, efficiency gains, and quality improvements. Develop solutions that keep the principles of LEAN/Six Sigma and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/A). Ability to use 3D CAD software packages to build a conceptual idea for prototyping and communications to other departments. Analyze product applications, investigate customer/field problems, and answer customer inquiries related to product designs.QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of Design Engineering experience. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related degree. US Citizen or Green Card Holder. CATIA/SolidWorks knowledge preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr FPC FranchiseVacancy posted 4 days ago
