Overview The Patient Care Tech. assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. The role serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCTs and is cross-trained to Unit Associate. The position assists with maintaining a safe and clean unit environment and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Job Summary Per Diem, Days. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to meet physical, emotional, and social needs. Serve as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCTs and cross-train to Unit Associate. Maintain a safe and clean unit environment; perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Required High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Certification: Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program, Florida-issued CNA license, or completion of first semester of Registered Nurse program. Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer into role date.
