Production Shift Manager

Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Shift Manager Monday- Thursday 7 pm - 7 am Company: Manner Polymers We’re looking for a Shift Manager to lead our 2nd Shift team (7:00 PM—7:00 AM Monday - Thursday) at our Mount Vernon, IL facility. Key Responsibilitiesa: Lead and supervise a team of production operators during the 2nd shift to meet daily production targets. Deliver coaching, performance evaluations, and growth opportunities to your team. Track and analyze key performance metrics (efficiency, cost, quality) to guide improvement initiatives. Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements. Champion workplace safety through regular meetings, compliance checks, and strong example-setting. Promote collaboration, resolve conflicts professionally, and foster team cohesion. Communicate equipment needs and address product quality concerns proactively. Reduce downtime and material waste while adhering to production schedules. Partner with HR to address and document employee performance and conduct issues. Ensure all employees wear proper PPE and follow company safety protocols consistently . Qualificatio ns High school diploma or GED wi th 3+ years of leadership experie nce in a manufacturing environment– OR –Associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred, wi th at least 3 ye ars of relevant leadership experience. Strong knowledge of production operations, equipment, and safety procedures. Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and uphold high performance standards.
