Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour

Jax S.T.E.M Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote learning and development
• Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
• Monitor and document student progress and developmental milestones
• Maintain open and professional communication with parents and guardians
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions
• Follow all state licensing requirements and school policies
• Encourage positive behavior and classroom participation
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support student success

Requirements

• 45 DCF Hours Certification required
• Previous preschool, childcare, or early childhood education experience preferred
• Passion for working with young children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
• Dependable, patient, and professional attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must be able to meet all state and licensing requirements for employment

Preferred Qualifications

• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials
• Experience in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting
• Knowledge of child development and early learning best practices
