Kitchen Staff

We are seeking full-time (≈38–40 hrs/week) and part-time (≈30 hrs/week) kitchen prep &‬ dishes team members who will handle light‬ food and beverage preparation—smoothies, nut butter toast, baked goods, and other beverage‬ components—while keeping the kitchen spotless and supporting the entire café.‬

ABOUT YOU
— Previous kitchen prep, smoothie, or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.‬
— Enjoys hands-on work and staying active throughout the shift.‬
— Reliable, collaborative, and attentive to detail in a fast-paced environment.‬
— Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.‬
— Eager to learn more about nut butters, nut-milk preparation, and beverage-related production.‬
— Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.‬

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
— Prepare smoothies, house-made nut milk, and other simple beverage components according to company recipes and standards.
—‭ Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas, following NYC Department of Health regulations.
—‭ Replenish supplies and ingredients throughout service. Receive deliveries and help organize and rotate inventory.
— Follow proper food handling, storage, and workplace safety procedures.
— Assist with opening and closing duties, including kitchen setup and breakdown and restocking.
— Handle light physical work such as moving boxes in the basement rooms and keeping them organized.
