Description

• Conduct thorough assessments in both inpatient and outpatient settings and create personalized treatment plans
• Implement effective physical therapy interventions with a focus on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Team up with nurses, doctors, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to maximize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic goals, discharge plans, and exercises to be continued at home
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatments, and advancements in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in multidisciplinary care rounds and conferences to promote cohesive care efforts

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is highly recommended
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are advantageous but not essential
