As a Senior Product Designer at Carvana, you’ll lead end-to-end design for complex, high‑impact initiatives across our product ecosystem. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on driving measurable customer and business outcomes through strong product thinking and exceptional craft. You balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution — translating ambiguity into clear opportunities, shaping scalable solutions, and influencing cross‑functional direction. You operate with ownership and accountability, set a high bar for quality, and elevate the work through systems thinking, clarity, and collaboration. What You’ll Be Doing Lead end-to-end design for large, complex initiatives that drive measurable outcomes Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clear, actionable solutions Align design decisions to product strategy, business goals, and user needs Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape requirements and evaluate trade-offs Deliver high‑quality designs grounded in systems thinking, interaction design best practices and user‑centered methodologies Create prototypes and artifacts that clarify intent and build stakeholder alignment Contribute to and evolve design systems for consistency and scalability Influence cross‑functional stakeholders through strong storytelling and evidence‑based rationale Navigate complexity with urgency, adaptability, and strong ownership What You Should Have/Know 7+ years of experience in Product Design or UX Proven success leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives Strong product thinking and systems‑level design expertise Expert proficiency in Figma and modern design tools Ability to confidently communicate, influence, and defend design decisions with data and insight Ways of Working Operate with a product‑wide, ecosystem mindset Balance creative exploration with structured problem‑solving Lead with ownership, clarity, and accountability Build trust through collaboration and open communication Embrace AI tools and evolving ways of working to amplify design impact What We’ll Offer In Return Full‑time salary position with a competitive salary Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401K with company match A multitude of perks including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more A great wellness program to keep you healthy and happy both physically and mentally Access to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization A company culture focused on high performance and bar‑raising, with vast opportunity to learn and grow Other Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
