Registered Nurse - IR

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology (IR) to assist with minimally invasive image-guided procedures. The IR RN will support pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care in collaboration with physicians, technologists, and radiology teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures such as biopsies, drain placements, angiograms, and catheter insertions.
• Monitor and assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer moderate sedation and medications as ordered, and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
• Prepare procedural rooms, assist with sterile technique, and manage imaging equipment support needs.
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and procedural events accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, recovery instructions, and follow-up care.
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and radiology protocols.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in critical care, procedural nursing, or radiology nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with moderate sedation, sterile technique, and post-anesthesia care preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and emergency response skills.
