Salary $15.00/hour + depending on qualifications Responsibilities Clean and care for the school cafeteria during and around lunch times Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors; vacuum and clean rugs Scrub, clean, and polish lavatories, fixtures, and mirrors; replenish supplies Carry out and dispose of garbage and trash Wash and dry dishes and cooking utensils; clean tables of soiled dishes Move and rearrange furniture as needed Carry heavy objects as required Assist in setting up cafeteria table service areas and cleaning up after service Qualifications Experience following basic work instructions Willingness to be fingerprinted and pass a background check Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED Experience in a food service establishment Leadership and teamwork skills Ability to receive, respond, and follow through with written and oral UTES Food policies, procedures, and work-related instructions from supervisors, customers, and coworkers Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills; professional demeanor Application Materials Resume/CV Three work references; at least one from a supervisor Letter of interest Equal Opportunity Employer The University of Texas at Austin is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
