Registered Nurse Endoscopy/GI

Job Summary:

Provides expert nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team, focusing on patient assessment, care planning, and outcome evaluation. Ensures delivery of evidence-based interventions to promote patient health and safety.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Utilize nursing knowledge to assess patient conditions through interviews, observation, and physical assessments.
  
  
• 
  Develop individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  
  
• 
  Implement and adjust interventions to meet patient outcomes, documenting progress continuously.
  
  
• 
  Perform bedside lab testing, specimen collection, and quality control in accordance with medical orders and hospital policies.
  
  
• 
  Promote safety and proper equipment use, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
  
  
• 
  Share clinical expertise through informal teaching and contribute to team development efforts.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum three (3) years of applicable nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Current Illinois RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  ACLS certification from American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  Fluent in English, with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  
  
• 
  Basic computer proficiency in word processing, email, and web browsing.
