Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Marion, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in accordance with site requirements. Maintain assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and communications while supporting a professional, orderly correctional government facility environment. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
