Location: Hybrid, preference for New York City, Chicago, or Boston (with a plan to work in person ~3 days per week)

Duration: 3-6 months, with strong possibility to transition into permanent full time role
Time Commitment: 5 days per week
Compensation: $800 - $1000 per day (1099 role)

Our client is a fast-growing consulting firm with offices in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. The firm specializes in strategy, organizational design, and commercial due diligence, serving Fortune 500 companies and private equity clients. The partner group consists of former Fortune 500 executives and ex-partners from top-tier management consulting firms.
This role offers a highly entrepreneurial environment and close mentorship from Senior Partners.
Role Summary
The Associate will play a key role in strategy development, research, and problem-solving across a variety of client engagements. This position is ideal for a pre-MBA consultant with two years of experience as a Business Analyst at a top strategy firm, looking to accelerate their career in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior Partners to develop and execute strategic solutions for clients
- Conduct market research, financial analysis, and organizational assessments to inform recommendations
- Manage workstreams, conduct Excel analyses, facilitate client workshops, coordinate project management office activities, and develop presentations
- Synthesize insights, structure problem-solving approaches, and contribute to client presentations
- Support and lead portions of client engagements, including workshops, data analysis, and stakeholder communication
- Assist with business development efforts, including proposal writing and client outreach
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovative solutions for complex business challenges
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of pre-MBA experience as a Business Analyst at a top-tier strategy consulting firm
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes consulting environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client engagement
- Exceptional ability to structure and present complex ideas
- Must be available to work in person ~3 days per week (client offers all travel costs)
