Production Operator The Production Operator supports day-to-day operations in a dry production department within a commercial bakery environment. This role focuses on safely handling materials, operating as a key contributor in the filler department, and preparing finished goods for shipment by loading, packaging, and palletizing products. Responsibilities: Load 50-pound sacks of product and materials throughout the shift in a safe and efficient manner. Fill and handle products in the dry department according to established procedures and quality standards. Assist in the filler department with product filling, monitoring, and basic line support as needed. Pack sacks of flour onto pallets, ensuring accurate counts and proper stacking for stability and safety. Prepare pallets for delivery by organizing, labeling, and staging them in the designated shipping area. Wrap pallets securely to protect products during storage and transportation. Support general production tasks such as stocking materials, organizing work areas, and maintaining a steady flow of product. Assist with basic inspection of products and packaging to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Perform general labor duties as assigned to keep production moving efficiently. Follow all safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized commercial bakery environment. Essential Skills: Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Comfort working in a dry department and handling 50-pound sacks of materials. Capability to perform general labor tasks, including loading, stocking, and packaging. Attention to detail when packing, palletizing, and preparing shipments. Basic understanding of production, stocking, and loading processes. Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety and quality procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications: General production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations. Experience with loading, stocking, and material handling in an industrial or commercial setting. Familiarity with packaging and inspection activities in a production environment. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr.
