Schedule options: 9:00AM- 3:30PM, 3:30PM- 11:00PM & 11:00PM- 9:00AM

Rate of Pay: $23.00 per hour

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help provide supervision and support to clients in our residential group home setting. We offer ongoing education, experiences and a supportive staff that emphasizes the individual's role in making choices to give them greater control of the direction of their life. You can be a part of a making a positive impact on their lives each day you come to work. You would provide hands-on, person-centered individualized care and support for our residents. DSPs/Residential Behavior Specialists work with a supportive team that includes the Residential Manager, Assistant Residential Manager, other DSPs and more to support residents in our home.

Education, Experience and Skills Needed:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities
• Education Requirement : Either;
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent with 4+ years of experience working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities OR;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field with 2+ years of experience working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities
• Minimum work requirement: MUST work a minimum of 2 shifts per month to stay active
• Must be able to read, write, and speak in English proficiently
• Ability to speak, see & hear clearly/audibly, as well as write legibly for documentation
• Basic computer skills
• Professional and respectful communication skills with clients and their families or other parties
• Ability to intervene with clients when needed to implement behavioral inventions including physical restraint, lifting and transporting in personal vehicle or company van
• General responsibilities as assigned such as house cleaning, assistance with toileting/showering, job coaching, role modeling, etc.
• Ability to sit, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, reach and/or move regularly
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, with a registered and insured vehicle
• First Aid/CPR Certification (We provide training if needed)
• MAP Certification for medication administration (We provide training if needed)
• Safety Care Certification (We provide training if needed)
