Details Emergency Department CT unit performing routine ED, Code Stroke, and some trauma cases Fast-paced environment with 4 CT rooms and a daily caseload of 150-200 scans Weekend schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and Monday shifts 2x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) on Saturday & Sunday plus 1x12-hour evening shift (3:00 PM-3:00 AM) on Monday 36 hours per week can be offered No call or float requirements Typical caseload is 8-12 patients per tech per 8-hour shift Uses Siemens (S3000, Sequoia) and GE scanners Charting completed in Epic and Visage Requirements Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required Experience in a 500 bed hospital required Must have hands-on experience with Siemens FORCE scanners BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(CT) certification required License required if applicable Experience with inpatient, ER, and adult ICU patient populations Some trauma experience required; Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Proficiency in CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction Experience with contrast administration, IV starts, and venipuncture preferred PACS and Visage experience preferred Must be comfortable working with infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered as long as the 2-year experience requirement is met Local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate within 50 miles of the facility Scrubs are not provided; royal blue color required Former Novant/New Hanover PERM/PRN/EP employees must wait 12 months before reapplying and disclose prior employment details for facility approval RTO up to 7 days can be auto-approved if not on a holiday; no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment or on weekends Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays Travel pairs are allowed if placed on different units with separate transportation 13-week contracts accepted; longer contract interest can be indicated Start date is subject to change based on facility class and trainer availability, and candidates must have full flexibility during the first week American Traveler Job ID P-738473.
