divh2Relief Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/h2pThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides essential nursing care and clinical support to patients enrolled in a Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP). Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or physician, the LVN is responsible for patient observation, medication administration, and assisting with the monitoring and assessment of individuals experiencing substance use withdrawal. This role plays a vital part in promoting patient safety, treatment adherence, and recovery oriented, trauma informed care./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliAssist with Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) and Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol (CIWA) screenings under appropriate supervision, and promptly report findings to the RN or medical provider./liliObserve, recognize, and report signs of intoxication, withdrawal, or adverse medication reactions./liliAdminister prescribed medications in accordance with program policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements./liliMonitor patients following medication administration to ensure safety, effectiveness, and appropriate response./liliAccurately and timely document focused assessments, medication administration, and patient responses in compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards./liliCollaborate with nurses, physicians, counselors, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized treatment planning and continuity of care./liliProvide patient education, within the scope of practice, related to medication adherence, withdrawal symptoms, and general health and wellness./liliMaintain a safe, respectful, and confidential treatment environment in compliance with 42 CFR Part 2, professional nursing standards, and organizational policies./li/ulpRegular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position.
