Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
This ICU float pool REGISTERED NURSE role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, large hospital environment, floating across ICU, MS, Tele, PCU, and overflow units as needed. The position requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and the ability to adapt to various units within a high-volume facility.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive patient care within the ICU and overflow units, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Perform specialized procedures including PA line insertion and Swan-Ganz catheter management.
• Conduct initial EKG assessments and pass the exam on the first day of orientation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Document clinical findings accurately and update patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
• Float to PACU and step-down units, providing seamless patient care across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 2 years of ICU experience in a large hospital setting.
• Be certified in ACLS and BLS; NIH certification preferred.
• Have recent experience with PA lines and Swan-Ganz catheter management.
• Demonstrate ability to pass the mandatory EKG exam on orientation.
• Be able to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
