Position Summary The Buyer – Component Parts will manage all aspects of the Parts Procurement process, including purchase order creation and management, high‑usage parts inventory, vendor pricing agreements, cost‑saving initiatives, procurement KPIs, engineering collaboration, and participation in global supply chain management meetings. Role and Responsibilities Design and implement workflows for purchase order generation, approval, and fulfillment, and integrate with ERP and other systems. Manage high‑usage parts inventory, analyze consumption trends, optimize stocking, and eliminate zero‑bin events. Negotiate annual pricing agreements with local and shared vendors, secure cost savings, and lead procurement projects to implementation. Define, budget, and oversee cost‑saving and efficiency projects to achieve measurable reductions. Track and report procurement KPIs, compile executive reports, and provide actionable insights. Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and other teams to ensure smooth parts flow and alignment with technical and operational needs. Participate in global supply‑chain meetings, discuss procurement strategies, qualification plans, and future projects. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field. 4+ years of procurement or supply‑chain experience. Proficiency with inventory‑management systems and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills. Excellent collaboration, communication, and time‑management skills. Compensation The base salary range for this role is $65,000 – $107,500, depending on duties, experience, location, and qualifications. Total compensation may include a competitive benefits package and participation in company incentive programs.
