Job Opportunity Position Description We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This position requires commitment to high-quality patient care and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Shift Details
- Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Experience: At least 12 months as a CNA in the last three years in an extended care unit, with a minimum of 3 months of acute care experience.
- Licensure: Active Oregon CNA License required; no pending licenses accepted.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- Charting Experience: Proficiency in Epic charting is mandatory.
- Patient Ratios: Experience with patient ratios of 1:10-15, specifically in extended care or skilled nursing environments.
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any abnormal findings to nursing staff.
- Providing safe patient transfers and positioning, including using appropriate equipment.
- Adhering to isolation precautions and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
- Coordinating care with therapy teams and participating in patient care planning.
- Post-operative care
- Respiratory issues (such as COPD exacerbation and CHF)
- Renal failure
- Diabetes Mellitus
- CVA/neurological conditions
- Comfort care and hospice placements
