The Hospitality Assistant supports our hospitality services by ensuring guests receive excellent food and housekeeping. Responsibilities Food Service Prepare meals from predetermined menus for intensives, getaways, and special events Serve, interact with, and attend to the needs of guests and visiting staff Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, interior, and exterior areas of the Hospitality Center daily Observe and follow all Health Department Codes Maintain ServSafe food manager certification at all times and attend chemical training as required Housekeeping Maintain exceptional cleanliness of interior and exterior guest lodging spaces on a daily and weekly basis, following established FMI standards Maintain cleanliness of guest and staff spaces throughout the property, including administrative offices, counseling rooms, bathrooms, and chapel; perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning windows, stocking amenities, laundering linens, and placing kitchen, bath, and bed linens Report all maintenance concerns to the General Manager promptly Respect off‑limits areas during cleaning to avoid disturbance Perform laundry as needed Other Duties Perform any additional duties as required Physical Requirements Pass a post‑offer pre‑hire physical exam Lift up to 40 lbs Push or pull up to 25 lbs Bend and reach above head Perform repetitive tasks and motions with good eye‑hand‑foot coordination and manual dexterity Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and reach May be exposed to gases, odors, fumes, cleaning chemicals, bodily waste, dust, and sharp utensils Occasional holiday and weekend work may be required Qualifications Character & Spiritual Exemplify biblical principles of love, humility, and service; uphold the Statement of Faith and standard of moral conduct Consistently witness for Christ and actively engage in Christian ministry Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent 1‑3 years of experience in food‑service preparation Must possess and maintain ServSafe certification and chemical training certification Skills & Abilities Strong customer‑service and interpersonal skills Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions Flexible in adjusting priorities and work independently with minimal supervision Familiarity with food‑preparation machinery, sharp knives, and chemicals Compensation Pay Range: $16.00 to $22.00 per hour.
