HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR City Wide Jani, Inc. – Chicago, IL Part-Time | Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM Wednesdays: Flexible Schedule (Earlier or Later) $23 – $26 per hour (DOE) + Quarterly Performance Bonus Position Overview City Wide Jani, Inc. is seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to manage recruitment, onboarding, compliance, documentation, and workforce stability across multiple commercial accounts. This role requires a structured professional who understands hiring systems, documentation standards, employment compliance, and workforce accountability. This is a performance-driven position with a defined pathway to advancement into an HR Manager role by year-end based on measurable results and leadership readiness. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment from job posting to offer letter Screen candidates and conduct structured phone interviews Coordinate interview scheduling with leadership approval Facilitate background checks and employment verification Complete and verify I-9 documentation within legal timelines Maintain accurate, audit-ready employee files Track certifications, compliance deadlines, and policy acknowledgments Document attendance issues, disciplinary actions, and performance concerns Support Performance Improvement Plans and workforce stabilization efforts Submit payroll updates including new hires, rate changes, and terminations Verify timekeeping records and track PTO usage Produce workforce reports including turnover and time-to-fill metrics Build and maintain structured hiring and compliance tracking systems Support leadership communication and enforce company policies respectfully Qualifications 3+ years of hands‑on Human Resources experience Experience in workforce‑heavy industries preferred (facility services, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, staffing, or similar) Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements Experience using HRIS and payroll systems Ability to generate structured reports and track workforce data Ability to type no less than 50 words per minute Intermediate experience using AI tools for workflow management, documentation, reporting, and research Strong documentation discipline and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to enforce policies while maintaining professionalism Desire to grow into a leadership-level HR Manager role Compensation & Performance Bonus $23 – $26 per hour (DOE) Quarterly performance-based bonus opportunity. Bonus eligibility is tied to measurable workforce results, including: Reduction in employee turnover Improvement in time-to-fill metrics Compliance accuracy and audit-ready employee files Stabilization of attendance patterns across accounts Improved documentation and policy adherence Bonus eligibility requires meeting baseline compliance and documentation standards.
