Long-term disability insurance Monthly Employee Engagement Activities Who you are: High school diploma or equivalent required HVAC preferred Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years’ experience in commercial maintenance, journeyman level Intermediate experience in the various trades required Must possess a valid California driver’s license Ability to read and understand blueprints Must be able to work alone most of the time without direct supervision Job Summary: Thisindividualwillberesponsibleforallaspectsofcoordinatingandperforming duties related to refurbishing and minor repairs. Essential Job Duties Coordinateandoperateasaleadofmulti-departmentrefurbishmentteam. Responsible for making units ready for existing and new residents including removing items to standardizetheunit,checkingallsystemsandappliancestoensureproperoperationandcustomization. Performs the work necessary to complete these tasks and coordinates the work of others and ensures completion. Performs maintenance duties, repairs walls, carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical repair and applianceinstallation. OverseesubcontractorsforRefurbishment projectsworkingwithPhysicalPlantCoordinator. PerformsPaintingand refurbishingprojects,asdirected. Performsskilledpreventativemaintenanceasdirected. Maintainsalltools,equipment andsuppliesinproper condition. Prioritizesall work in theordersetbythePlant Coordinator. Participatesin emergencydrillsand acts asamemberoftheEmergencyResponse Team. Participatesinthe24-hours on-callprogramtoincludeoccasionalweekendandnight work. Functionsunderintensetimepressure. AttendsMarketingmeetingsandmandatoryin-service meetings. Worksas amember of ateam.
