Job Description

The Systems Engineer works in an Agile, multi-technology, and hybrid computing environment contributing to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Core Technology Data Operations (CTDO) business applications. They are responsible for developing and managing our DevOPS CI/CD pipelines supporting Azure based Databricks centric applications and providing management, support, enhancement and maintenance of our CTDO On Premise and Azure based platforms. They work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, Architecture, key stakeholders, other IT professionals to assist in the design, build, integration and maintenance of the infrastructure components. Systems Engineers support day-to-day operation and availability of CTDO environments and interfaces to other internal and external connecting systems. They work closely with other internal technical teams including but not limited to System, Network, Database and Security Teams to ensure smooth, uninterrupted availability of our solutions. System Engineers continually explore and leverage AI technology where possible to improve efficiency, consistency, and delivery of our services.

Pay: 30/hr

Skills and Requirements

· Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud computing, Databricks, Serverless tools (Logic Apps and Function Apps), Azure DevOps, CI/CD, test automation and cloud deployments.

· Experience supporting solutions involving custom development, off-the-shelf systems (e.g., SSRS, Qlik Replicate, PowerBI, Power Gateway, Alteryx), and 3rd party integrations.

· Experience operating within an ITIL Framework along with an Agile computing mindset. Experience with ServiceNow and JIRA a plus.

· Solid understanding of on-prem and Cloud platform and application security concepts.

· Experience supporting on-prem servers and solutions.

· Strong SQL, PowerShell, YAML, and/or another scripting language experience.

· Database performance and tuning experience.

· Experience with modern data tools such as Spark, ADFS, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, Redis, Elastic is valuable.

· Experience using AI tools to enhance development and support roles and responsibilities.

Preferred: Experience with relational databases and SQL design

Experience with Agile project delivery methods

DevOps, CI/CD, test automation and cloud deployment a plus

Familiarity making rapid prototypes to deliver new innovations to market
