About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required. License: NC or Compact license in hand. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required. Must-Have: - Required charting experience with EPIC. - Must have open availability. - Floating between High Risk and Labor and Delivery required. - Weekends required every other weekend. - No blocked scheduling. Description: This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Interviews will be conducted virtually. Two years of recent Labor and Delivery experience is required. The candidate must hold a current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification. Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory. The nurse will have open availability and must float between High Risk and Labor and Delivery. Every other weekend is required. Candidates should not be first-time travelers. Local candidates within a specified radius are considered. This unit handles high-risk and low-risk pregnancies. The average daily census is 25 with multiple deliveries per month. There may be special procedures involving high-risk and antepartum patients. Staff will work with interdisciplinary support teams. Attendance and compliance with the attendance policy are required. Modules must be completed during the orientation period and annually thereafter.
