Senior C++ Developer /Software Engineer - Hybrid
Boston, United States
- Core Skills: 7-10+ years of professional software development experience currently working hands-on with C++ . [ 1 ]
- Must Haves: Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts; experience with databases like PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB. [ 1 ]
- Experience with the Versant Object Database (Versant DB) and also Mongo and/or Postgres
- Background or familiarity with Embedded Systems development.
- Linux/Unix environment and multithreading/concurrency proficiency
Responsibilities
- Optimize existing high-throughput algorithms surrounding our image analysis, detection, and tracking efforts
- Demonstrate fluent, idiomatic mastery of C++; comfortable with software design and architecture
- Work as part of an Agile team and contribute to shared tools
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
- Additional year of education may be substituted for years of professional experience.
- At least five years of professional experience and fluency in C++
- At least three years of professional experience using Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of Data Structures
- Optimization skills for high-data-throughput processing
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Location - preferably Boston area. Remote is also fine
