ER RN

The Level 3 ER Registered Nurse (RN) working night shifts is responsible for assessing and managing emergency patients' clinical conditions, prioritizing care, and initiating immediate interventions in critical situations. The RN must operate specialized emergency equipment, administer prescribed therapies including ventilation support, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality emergency care. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and at least two years of recent ER nursing experience. Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' clinical conditions and recognize serious situations requiring immediate action.
• Prioritize and implement appropriate emergency measures when physicians are not immediately available.
• Operate and monitor emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and pulse oximeters.
• Administer therapeutic measures including medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Document nursing interventions, patient status, and coordinate care activities with other healthcare professionals.
• Plan, develop, and implement individualized patient care delivery plans.
• Maintain adequate supplies and equipment, ensuring a safe and clean unit environment.
• Float to Medical-Surgical (MS) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as needed.

• Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• Experience with ventilator management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency environment.

• De-escalation certification (must be willing to obtain prior to start).

• Must work every other week (EOW) and one major holiday.
• Required to float to Medical-Surgical or ICU units as needed.
• Must complete a 3-day orientation during the same week as the start date.
• Red scrubs required.
• Strict Return to Office (RTO) policy; holiday requests will not be pre-approved.

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Shifts assigned based on hospital needs with mandatory weekend and holiday coverage.
