Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 3 weekend shifts per contract; AM and PM shifts require 2 call shifts per 6-week period; patient ratio 1:1 or 1:2

Highlights:

• 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit with average daily census of 15 patients, plus 6-bed L&D Triage
• Comprehensive case mix including labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the unit with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication protocols
• Scrubs provided by the facility for all nursing staff
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract (blackout dates apply during Spring Break: April 4-12)
• May float within facility and scope of practice as needed to support patient care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with neonatal/infant and adult patient populations
• Clinical competencies must include: administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, epidural anesthesia management, magnesium sulfate therapy, fetal monitoring (internal and external), cesarean section circulation, vaginal delivery assistance, breastfeeding support, and postpartum care
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation required to start on time; incomplete compliance may result in two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
