Network Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Bonita Springs FL . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid Experience with Fortinet Cisco Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities Contribute to strategic plans and reviews; Prepare and complete action plans; Design cost-effective networks which follow industry best practices Develop network design and operational objectives by designing and engineering, evaluating, recommending, formulating, testing, and implementing plans for current and new technology Develop, implement, and maintain network security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN gateways, to safeguard the company’s sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for network administration tasks Collaborate with customers, vendors, and third-party agencies to coordinate the implementation of secure connectivity solutions. Respond to technical assistance requests from users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Provide support and training to end-users on system and application usage. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of network infrastructure, user accounts, and system backups, and provide regular reports to management on network performance, availability, and security. Responsible for configuration, implementation, and support for network installations as necessary. Provide subject matter expert network support and troubleshooting for an enterprise network. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to network technologies, network topology, network equipment, and configuration(s). Ability to document standards, methods and produce drawings of environments Provide timely and accurate project status updates to customer contacts and management Analyze system reports, error logs and activity and initiate system enhancements as needed Oversee Managed Services to ensure network incidents and problems are appropriately resolved or escalated within SLA. Interact with customers and establish customer relationships to gather and analyze customer needs, assess available resources, and determine optimal solutions. Develop project plans incorporating resource estimates for project tasks and manage projects as assigned. Collaborate with senior members of the enterprise infrastructure teams. Advise management on technology roadmaps, evaluate vendor products, and make recommendations on product/service selection and current system upgrades.
