Nighthawk's flexibility and expertise across the cybersecurity field provides customized solutions to our customer's unique needs.The Data Center Technician II provides intermediate-level technical support for the Datacenter Operations Center (DOC) supporting the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Information Management and Technology (OIMT). This position supports the continuous monitoring and operational management of the Albuquerque Data Center (ADC), a Tier III facility providing enterprise hosting services for mission-critical systems.The technician performs infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support activities to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of enterprise systems and data center infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Monitor and manage data center infrastructure systems including power distribution, cooling systems, environmental sensors, and network connectivity.Analyze monitoring alerts and system notifications to identify and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.Perform rack-and-stack installation, equipment configuration support, and structured cabling tasks following established data center standards.Coordinate break/fix support and assist with hardware diagnostics and component replacement.Maintain configuration management records and support asset management processes for all data center equipment.Support physical security controls, access management procedures, and compliance with established data center policies.Document incidents, operational activities, and maintenance procedures in operational tracking systems.Assist with implementing infrastructure changes and supporting maintenance windows.Coordinate with network, systems, and facilities teams to ensure proper operation of infrastructure systems.Provide guidance to junior technicians and assist with operational training when needed.QualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:Exceptional customer service skillsAbility to contribute in writing to team documentation, activities and processes.Ability to perform work tasks with guidanceAttention to detailWorking knowledge on how to develop and document processes and project management documentationAbility to perform work tasks with minimal guidance and attention to detailMinimum Qualifications:Associates Degree or combination of education and experience.Minimum of 1 years of related technical experience in supporting Information Technology environment and a managed computer room, facility or datacenter.Support would include (but not limited to): administration and configuration of datacenter infrastructure and support management systemsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with data center monitoring tools or IT infrastructure management systemsExperience working in enterprise IT or government environmentsIndustry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similarPay and Benefits At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
