Our client, a growing and well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Production Area Manager to lead daily production operations, drive performance, and develop frontline leadership teams. This position is ideal for a results-driven manufacturing leader with a strong background in production management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within a regulated production environment.

The Production Area Manager will be responsible for achieving key safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives while ensuring efficient staffing, effective resource utilization, and cross-functional collaboration across the operation.

• Plan staffing and labor allocation across shifts and work centers to meet production demand and operational requirements.
• Monitor and drive performance against key operational KPIs, including safety, yield, scrap, schedule attainment, and on-time delivery.
• Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Line Supervisors and frontline production teams.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Human Resources to resolve production issues and support plant objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, process optimization, and productivity gains.
• Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for operational excellence.
• Drive effective communication between shifts and departments to ensure smooth operations.

• Minimum 4+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, production, or regulated production environments.
• 6-8 years of hands-on operational, technical, quality, or production management experience preferred.
• Experience leading supervisors, large production teams, or multi-shift operations is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success achieving safety, quality, production, and delivery targets.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and performance metrics.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive accountability.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with production reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Quality-control mindset with a strong focus on collaboration between quality and production teams.
• Lean manufacturing experience, including continuous improvement methodologies and waste reduction initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of process flow optimization and operational efficiency principles.
• Ability to influence change and drive performance improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
