About this position River Valley is looking for an experienced HR Coordinator/Generalist to join our team in Olathe, Colorado. The HR Assistant plays a key role in supporting and collaborating with the Human Resources Manager (HR) in the daily operations of the HR Department. This position assists with a variety of administrative and HR-related tasks, including employee pre-hire and onboarding, maintaining electronic records, coordination of benefits, and managing computer hardware requests. The HR Assistant helps ensure compliance with clinic policies and employment regulations while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. With a strong focus on confidentiality, organization, and communication, this role contributes to the clinic’s mission of delivering compassionate care by supporting the well-being and development of its staff. The HR Assistant position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and will be able to select a schedule that is either 4x10's or 5x8's. A day in the life of the HR Coordinator/Generalist may include: Maintaining accurate and organized electronic personnel records, tracking certifications and licenses, maintaining data in ADP, Assisting with the hiring, onboarding, and offboarding process, Representing the clinics at job fairs and expo's as needed, Assisting with the benefit and leave of absence process, Assisting employees with life events, questions, and more! Associate’s degree or higher preferred but not required Minimum 1-year experience in Human Resources preferred; will consider internal applicants with at least two years of prior experience within River Valley. Minimum one year of experience working in an ambulatory clinic or healthcare setting preferred. Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices preferred. Experience with HR systems and databases preferred. Strong interpersonal skills; people-oriented and results-driven. Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality. Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to travel to clinic locations, meetings, and trainings outside of the service area. Ability to work varied hours to meet job requirements. Ability to establish and maintain courteous, professional relationships with patients, staff, and the public. Strong analytical skills; able to read, interpret, and apply business practices, policies, technical guidelines, and regulations. Capable of writing clear reports and business correspondence. Comfortable presenting information and responding to questions in group and individual settings. Demonstrates problem-solving skills and adaptability in situations with limited standardization, recognizing that past practices may not always be the best path forward and being open to exploring more effective solutions. Inquisitive and eager to learn; actively seeks opportunities for professional growth and process improvement. Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with individuals and groups of diverse racial, ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds.
