Senior Business Analyst (Credit Card) Locations: New York, NY (Hybrid Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Responsibilities / Tasks: Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to gather and document business and technical requirements for email marketing campaigns. Create detailed Technical Specification Documents (TSDs) that serve as the foundation for campaign execution across multiple workstreams and teams. Analyze incoming data files from both bank and merchant partners to identify required data points and segmentation logic. Define audience segmentation criteria and exclusion rules based on campaign goals and business requirements. Design and document campaign workflows, including data ingestion, segmentation, dynamic content mapping, and suppression logic. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including database engineers, developers, QA analysts, and SFMC architects to ensure alignment on campaign requirements. Interface directly with clients to clarify requirements, present documentation, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and accuracy. Develop and execute test cases and use cases for dynamic content scenarios to ensure campaign accuracy. Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and email proofing processes, including internal and client-facing approvals. Create and manage data extensions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) for testing and deployment purposes. Manipulate and validate data to support campaign testing and ensure data integrity. Deploy UAT and proofs through SFMC, ensuring readiness for final campaign launch. Develop audit plans and maintain documentation for campaign launches to ensure compliance and traceability. Level Of Responsibility: Serve as a critical team member in a long-term strategic initiative, supporting a major financial institution’s co-branded credit card program. Act as the central liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external clients, ensuring seamless communication and execution. Own the creation and accuracy of technical documentation that informs the work of all downstream teams involved in campaign execution. Influence strategic outcomes by ensuring campaigns are built and launched based on accurate, complete, and approved specifications. Maintain a high level of autonomy and accountability for deliverables that directly impact client satisfaction, customer response, and campaign performance. Engage directly with client stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language. Ensure quality and compliance through rigorous testing, documentation, and audit planning. Possess strong technical proficiency in data analysis, marketing automation platforms (especially SFMC), and dynamic content logic. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting. Demonstrate professional experience in business systems analysis within a data-driven marketing or technology environment. Technical Knowledge & Skills: Has extensive experience in business Analysis, enterprise process mapping and documentation, as well as client and stakeholder management. Is proficient in Business knowledge, Credit Card Marketing and Banking Analysis and Strategy, Change Management. Is proficient in business knowledge of financial products and services; ability to translate financial concepts into actionable business insights.
