Position Overview: The Registered Nurse PCCU - Medical ICU provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for adult patients in open heart surgery and neurosurgery units. Key Responsibilities: Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans; assesses patient health data; communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; educates patients on disease management; collaborates with colleagues; supports professional development; and participates in performance improvement and research activities. Qualifications: Requires an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, active Illinois RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and at least 1 year of inpatient nursing experience. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, ICU or ER experience, wound/ostomy expertise, and relevant certifications. Skills & Attributes: Strong assessment, communication, teaching, and collaborative skills, with a focus on patient-centered care and continuous learning. Additional Duties: May assist technical staff with procedures, support patient transport, and float to other units as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr Health Wealth Safe
