- The 174-bed OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center provides comprehensive healthcare for the community of Danville, IL, and the nearby region.
- The facility is part of the OSF HealthCare system, an integrated healthcare network operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis.
- Case assignments include General, OB, ortho, and ophthalmology.
- The care team model focuses on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.
- The team is led by James Norris, Chief Anesthesiologist.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patients physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Compensation
- Salary: $550,000 annually
- Sign-on Incentives (Bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment): $75,000

- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMC and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
