About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Must have TNCC in hand prior to submission Description: MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 OF THE HOLIDAY BUNDLES (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day). Shorter contracts may be available at a lower rate. COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medical exemptions. Ratios are 1:4 for patient care. First-timers are accepted. Minimum of 4 weekend shifts are required per schedule period, which is 6 weeks. Special requirements include general Emergency Department skills for combined adult/pediatrics, blood product administration, starting IVs, and experience with tele neuro and tele psych. Facility is a fully serviced Emergency Department; however, there is no inpatient pediatric, OB, or cath lab. The hospital is a community-based facility with 65 total staffed beds and 12 ICU beds. Daily census is approximately 70 visits, with 20 total rooms and 26 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Patient age groups range from neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics. Previous charge experience is preferred. Travel experience is required.
