Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring AHA certifications, comfort floating to PCU and MS units, and residency at least 100 miles from the facility.

Details

• ICU position within an acute care hospital setting
• Must be comfortable floating to PCU and Med/Surg (MS) units as needed
• MS float ratios are 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• 36-hour weekly work commitment
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule period
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside the provision of patient care
