Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of general OR circulating and scrubbing experience.Details\n \n Work in the General Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital\n Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM\n Circulate and scrub general surgery cases including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, Panc/Bili, and Bariatrics\n On-call required, approximately 4-6 call shifts per 4-week period\n Holiday call may be required\n Uses EPIC EMR system\n Requirements\n \n Active SC or Compact RN license required in hand at start of contract\n BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)\n Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required\n Community hospital experience required\n Must provide own radiation badge (provided by staffing agency)\n Driver's license required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Circulate and scrub a variety of general surgery procedures in a fast-paced OR environment\n During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), all staff including travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams\n First-time travelers considered only with 5+ years of relevant experience\n Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler\n Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered a non-local candidate; local candidates considered case-by-case at a reduced rate\n All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-754992.
