FOOD UNIT LEAD (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Coordinates activities of other food-service employees, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors. Provides leadership in food preparation, presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides quality customer service with attentive, one-on-one care. Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items to company standards. Helps plan menus. Ensures timely, efficient meal service and supervises serving of meals. Responds to customer complaints in person or via email. Trains employees, assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence. Determines work procedures, prepares schedules, and expedites workflow. Uses proper systems for required daily, weekly, and monthly reports such as inventory, cash, payroll, and timekeeping. Responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual. Orders food and supplies from approved sources. Directs and participates in overall sanitation and safety of the facility. Develops sanitation schedule and ensures compliance with cleaning procedures. Issues written and oral instructions. Helps select and orient employees and oversees their training. Performs other duties as assigned.
