PackerThe Packer is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing completed customer orders for shipment. Orders ready for packing will be processed using the company's warehouse management and shipping systems. The Packer will scan and verify orders and their contents for accuracy, select the appropriate packaging, securely pack and seal orders, generate and apply shipping labels, and properly stage completed shipments according to their designated shipping method. This position will also assist with loading outbound shipments and other general warehouse duties as needed.Responsibilities and Duties:Accurately process completed orders using handheld scanners and the company's warehouse management and shipping systems, including scanning orders, verifying contents, and updating required order informationVerify products and quantities against orders and identify and communicate any discrepancies before shipmentSelect appropriate packaging materials and properly pack, seal, and secure orders to prevent damage during shipmentGenerate, verify, and apply shipping labels to completed packagesOrganize and stage completed orders according to their designated shipping method, including pallets, carts, and other designated areasAssist with building, wrapping, moving, and loading pallets and completed shipments onto shipping trucksMaintain clean, organized, and properly stocked packing and staging areasAssist with inventory movement, warehouse organization, and other general warehouse activities as neededFollow all established safety procedures and safe work practices while maintaining a safe and efficient work environmentComplete special projects and other duties as assigned by managementQualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferredMust be able to read and follow written and verbal instructionsMust have good attention to detail and accuracyMust be willing and able to work as part of a teamPossess good organizational and coordinating abilitiesMust be able to multi-task and prioritize in an orderly mannerMust possess good time management skillsMust be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environmentMust be dependable and demonstrate a strong work ethicMust adhere to all company safety policies and proceduresPhysical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions required for this positionAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendanceAbility to lift a minimum of 75 poundsAbility to stand and/or walk for eight hours in an open warehouse environment
