Senior Manager, Technology and Information Systems

The Senior Manager, Technology and Information Systems designs and delivers enterprise technology solutions that enable organizational success. This role oversees a broad technology portfolio, including hybrid infrastructure, enterprise networking, collaboration platforms, cybersecurity operations, and end-user support services, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

As a technology leader, this position provides oversight of server, storage, network, wireless, audio/video collaboration, helpdesk, and security operations while serving as the escalation point for complex technical challenges and high-profile meetings and events. Partnering closely with Technology leadership, the Senior Manager drives innovation, operational excellence, and resilient technology architecture to support a dynamic, meeting-intensive hybrid organization.

What We Look For

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibility in medium to large IS departments
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience; AAN employees may substitute requirement with 3 years leading program teams, project teams, and/or team lead experience
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Active Directory and cloud platforms.
• Experience operating enterprise networking and security platforms, including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and wireless.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold the AAN's values
• Demonstrated ability to supervise a team in a fast-paced environment and nurture individual career development and growth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• ITIL, Azure, Cisco, or security related certifications is preferred
• Experience with VMware or Nutanix HCI platforms is preferred
• Experience with CrowdStrike endpoint security or equivalent is preferred
• Experience with Cisco email security and Meraki wireless platforms is preferred
• Experience supporting Zoom meetings and webinars in meeting-intensive environments is preferred

Relevant education and/or experience exceeding the required qualifications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required up to 5%

Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week)

Schedule: Some evenings and weekends required
