Project Controls Specialist

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or related fields.
- Six or more years of relevant experience in project controls or project management in large infrastructure projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or similar certification preferred.
- Experience working with public utilities, municipalities, and regulatory stakeholders preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Diplomatic - Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to negotiate compromise and demonstrate diplomacy in sensitive situations and to interact effectively with senior management.
- Self-Directed - Shows initiative and the ability to organize oneself.
- Planning/Organizing - Able to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks.
- Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions, orientation to profitability.
- Financial Literacy - Understands and applies financial concepts, data, and business metrics.
- Serve as a central point of coordination for project governance activities, ensuring required documentation, approvals, and deliverables are completed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project meetings, status reviews, and governance discussions by preparing agendas, facilitating stakeholder engagement, documenting decisions, and tracking action items to completion.
- Manage project records and contractual documentation, ensuring agreements, amendments, change orders, correspondence, and supporting documentation are accurate, current, and readily accessible.
- Review contracts and project agreements to support compliance with key terms, milestones, scopes, deliverables, reporting requirements, and commercial obligations.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, accounting, and business stakeholders to ensure timely execution of project administration, invoice processing, change management, and closeout activities.
- Maintain project controls systems and documentation repositories, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of project information and reporting.

- Ability to travel occasionally and on short notice to project sites.
- This is a remote role (work from home/office) with light travel so the work environment will vary based on the incumbent's choice of workspace.
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to speak and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
- Vision abilities required to perform this job include the ability to view and respond to visual and written materials via a computer screen.
