Key Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process through individualized assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for assigned patients
• Provide age-specific, culturally appropriate, and holistic care to patients and families, progressing them toward individualized goals
• Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights
• Identify and respond to patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory
• Delegate and coordinate care activities among healthcare team members within their scope of practice to promote patient progress and workflow efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• PALS Certification
• CPI or comparable certification (must be an 8-hour course with at least half of the class completed in person)
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in a registered nurse role
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a specialty area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing complex, high-risk, or unusual clinical situations in an emergency care environment
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and ancillary staff to coordinate and expedite patient care
• Familiarity with individualized plan of care documentation tools and department-specific policies and procedures
