Job Description Job Description Job Title: Director of Preconstruction Company Overview: Our client is a leading construction firm dedicated to excellence in federal construction and secure facilities. As a key member of their leadership team, you'll play a vital role in overseeing estimating, bid strategies, and project turnover to Operations, ensuring that projects meet client requirements and industry standards for quality and security. * The estimated pay range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000 based on experience. Key Responsibilities: * Estimate a variety of federal construction projects. * Develop, mentor, and evaluate the estimating and preconstruction staff to foster a high-performing team. * Establish department goals, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency. * Lead bid strategy discussions and manage proposal development for both negotiated and competitive procurements. * Identify project risks during the preconstruction process and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams. * Serve as the principal subject matter expert for SCIFs and secure facility projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant security standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: * Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating and preconstruction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. * Extensive knowledge of federal construction practices and government procurement processes. * Proven track record of successfully leading preconstruction efforts for SCIF, secure facility, and mission-critical projects. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence decisions and build robust client relationships. * Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
