Staff Accountant (Junior to Mid-level)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Irvine. The ideal candidate will have around 5 years of general accounting experience and a solid understanding of day-to-day financial operations. Since this role requires occasional communication with our headquarters in South Korea, candidates with experience working in the U.S. branch of a Korean company are highly preferred, though it is not a strict requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts for company transactions.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

• Process accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.

• Prepare bills receivable, invoices, and bank deposits.

• Process related taxes in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

• Assist with reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.

• Assist with financial statements, reports, and budgets for internal use and external stakeholders.

• Monitor and manage job costing and project profitability tracking.

• Support operational staff with job costing, invoicing, and financial planning.

• Maintain inventory for purchases and withdrawals, including the calculation of prices and adjusting entries.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with tax preparation and liaise with external accountants or auditors as needed.

• Maintain and continuously improve accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of general accounting experience.

• Excellent understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

• Experience working in a U.S. branch or subsidiary of a Korean company is a strong plus.

• Bilingual proficiency (English and Korean) is highly preferred for effective communication with the global headquarters.

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
