Data Annotation Specialist [Remote]

Create and validate high quality labeled data that helps train next generation AI systems. In this remote contractor role you will annotate diverse content types, resolve ambiguous cases with project leads, and document edge cases and process improvements. No prior AI experience is required, domain knowledge and clear written and verbal communication are the primary qualifications.

• Analyze and annotate a variety of data types according to detailed project guidelines
• Apply critical thinking to ensure labels are accurate, consistent, and relevant
• Collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities and clarify annotation standards
• Document observations, edge cases, and suggestions for improving annotation procedures
• Provide feedback that contributes to ongoing optimization of annotation processes
• Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail on all assigned tasks
• Communicate regularly with project coordinators using written and verbal channels

• Required skills: data annotation, critical thinking, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, remote work management
• Demonstrated experience in data annotation or a related field is preferred
• Generalist mindset, comfortable handling a wide range of content and annotation scenarios
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving project guidelines and task types
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables remotely
• Prior exposure to collaborative projects or remote professional engagements is a plus
• No prior experience in AI required

$30 - $80 per hour

This role is offered on an independent contractor basis. Applicants must be able to perform remote work and manage deliverables as a contractor.
