The position involves providing compassionate and skilled patient care for critically ill and general medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Job Details Position: ICU Nurse, Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Location: [Location unspecified] Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, minimum 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: BLS and ACLS certifications, minimum two years of ICU experience, valid nursing license, and ability to interpret telemonitor data and manage vasopressor and sedation drips including vasopressors, sedatives, Heparin, Cardizem, Lopressor, and others Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing multimodal sedation, vasopressor drips, vent management with respiratory therapy support, and sepsis management Responsibilities: ICU care with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3, involving blood pressure management, airway management, sepsis protocols, and interpreting telemetry. ICU nurses may be required to manage titratable drips such as vasopressors and sedatives and read telemetry strips. Additional Information: ICU coverage is supported 24/7 by hospitalists and intensivists. Tech support is available, and RN responsibility includes visualizing and documenting telemetry data on designated monitors. No on-call or standby is required, and floating to MedSurg may be necessary. Orientation: 1-2 shifts of department-specific orientation, including ICU and MedSurg training.
