Plant Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety
• Daily maintenance and repair of the plant
• Performing special maintenance projects and maintenance and repair on all facility equipment
• Troubleshoot and determine appropriate repairs, replacing defective parts as needed
• Maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in use at the plant
• Complete necessary paperwork and communicate maintenance needs to management
• Follow all safety regulations set forth by the company
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Operate a front end loader and help wherever needed
• Lift 50 pounds alone and stand a good part of the day
• Work in varying weather conditions, in dust and noisy areas
• Perform substantial walking, bending, stooping, lifting or working in awkward or strained positions
• Work overtime and some weekends as business needs determine

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Front End Loader experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the maintenance field is preferred
• General experience with industrial equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Ready Mix plant operations
• Ability to make simple electrical diagnosis and repairs
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations
• Must have a valid driver's license
