Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30). Floating to other units or hospitals close by may be required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in telemetry, orthopedics, and bariatric care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care within a telemetry unit and be prepared to manage a patient ratio of 6:1 during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care in the telemetry unit.
• Administer medications using the Pyxis system.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE usage when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a South Carolina RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR system.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in telemetry and 3 years in the specialty for first-time travelers.
